NATURAL LOOKING SMILE IN ONE DAY WITH ZYGOMATIC IMPLANTS

What are zygomatic implants

Zygomatic implants are a new technique where the implants are inserted into the zygoma bone (cheekbone). Zygomatic implants are used for patients with severe bone loss in the upper jaw. With this technique, patients avoid bone grafts and sinus lift procedures, which can shorten the overall treatment time to 3 months instead of 9 months.

This technique is a technique that we recommend to our patients who have too much melting in the upper jaw bone and not eligable for traditional dental implants. In addition, surgical and prosthetic rehabilitation can be quite difficult in patients with advanced edentulous maxilla after tumor surgery. The purpose of this improvement is not only to provide an acceptable cosmetic, but also to restore oral functions such as swallowing, chewing and vocalization. Patients with severely fused maxilla and other symptoms do not have sufficient bone volume to accommodate standard implants. Cheekbones are bones of sufficient strength and thickness for implant application. With this technique, which is applied to the cheekbone by using specially made implants of 4.5-5 cm length, we can make fixed prosthetic teeth for our patients.

What is the difference between traditional implants and zygomatic implants

Several differences exist between zygomatic implants and traditional implants. Zygomatic implants are approximately 3 to 5 times longer than traditional implants. The foundation of a zygomatic implant is very secure and therefore does not require bone graft or sinus lift. With traditional implants, a bone graft may be required in the case of atrophy of the upper jaw bone.

Zygomatic Dental Implants with Fixed Teeth: Bone resorption along with lower bone quality often makes it impossible to place dental implants in the posterior maxilla. Zygomatic implants are then advised and anchored in to the zygomatic bone rather than the maxilla. Zygomatic implants are planned for the upper jaw in complex situations such as poor quality of bone, bone resorption, decreased height of bone over time or presence of air spaces or sinus.

Most of such cases can be done under local anesthesia on the same day itself. The quality of life improves a lot after the treatment as patients no longer have top deal with dentures or ‘no bone no teeth’.

What are the Points to Consider Before Zygoma Implant Treatment

There are very sensitive diagnosis and planning stages in the preparation process for the zygoma implant procedure. Before the implant treatment, the patient's tomography should be taken and the anatomical structure of the upper jaw should be examined. An otolaryngologist should also be examined before the implant application. Because the area to be implanted is very close to the sinus area, it is necessary to check whether there is any normality in the patient's sinus area.

What are the Advantages of Zygoma Implant?

  • Its biggest advantage is that it can be implanted in patients who cannot be implanted because there is no upper jaw bone. There is no need for a long and expensive new bone formation process in patients with osteoporosis.Fixed and rapid prostheses can be made for patients by placing implants in the cheekbones of each patient. It can be done safely in patients who have had an accident in their upper jaw or whose chin has been removed as a result of diseases such as cancer.

What are the Disadvantages of the Zygoma Implant?

  • Having a difficult surgery,Possibility of damage to eye and adjacent tissues, anatomical structures such as facial nerve, infraorbital nerve,It has disadvantages such as the development of sinusitis after the operation and the difficulty of re-positioning the implant in case of failure of the primary stabilization of the implant.

Are Zygomatic Dental Implants Worth the Money?

Considering zygomatic dental implants are a fraction of the total cost of the full procedure, they are absolute worth the investment  to improve  your overall well-being and oral health. For anyone researching full mouthdental Implants for the first time, the price range from one provider to the next can be surprising.Zygomatic Implant is an investment to improve quality of life and avoid the expense of maintaining damaged or failing teeth. Upkeep for advanced periodontal disease, for example, can add up quickly as treatments such as scaling and root planing will prolong the disease without curing it.

.How Long Will Zygomatic Dental Implant?

  •   Just  like our traditional implants, our zygomatic dental implants are designed to last for a lifetime. If Implant failure were to occur, which is unlikely, statistically it
    zygomatic Implant
would  take place within two years of the procedure Because of this, the first two years of maintenance is included in the base  price of the New Teeth Now restoration along with a two-year warranty for your implants.
